Some Media Coverage and Leaving for Bhutan

There has been some recent media coverage of our trip to Bhutan by Oklahoma media outlets.

One really good story appeared in the University of Oklahoma student paper on June 15, 2009--the Oklahoma Daily: http://oudaily.com/news/2009/jun/15/fulbright-scholar-givel-heads-adventure-kingdom-bh/

Another article in the statewide paper the Daily Oklahoman examining my trip from the point of view of my research on Bhutan's tobacco policy appeared one day before my trip/adventure is about to begin: http://newsok.com/norman-scholar-focuses-on-tobacco-law/article/3379643

What a nice send off, I must say.

On June 23, 2009, I will be flying to Chicago and then to New Delhi, India. I will be in New Delhi for a few days taking in the sights in the center of the city, among other things. After words on June 28, 2009 I will fly into Paro International Airport in Bhutan, see: http://www.azworldairports.com/airports/a1175pbh.cfm and http://www.travelblog.org/Photos/112586.html and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Paro_Airport.jpg

There I will meet my new colleagues from the Royal Institute of Management. On Monday, I will start my intensive workshop in Bhutanese culture, cuisine, and government as well as learning some conversational Dzongkha. On July 3, 2009, Becky and Noah will be flying into Paro International and I will meet them when they arrive.
